Dear Mothers,
Today, I want to humbly remind you of a powerful truth: your influence is greater than you may realize. The world often celebrates kings, leaders, and people who stand on great platforms, but God sees the mothers who quietly shape the hearts of those leaders before they are ever recognized.
In Proverbs 31, we meet a woman whose name is not mentioned, but whose impact is remembered forever. She was the mother of King Lemuel. Before he wore a crown, before he carried the responsibility of leadership, he first received wisdom from his mother.
The Bible says:
“The sayings of King Lemuel—an inspired utterance his mother taught him.” — Proverbs 31:1
Mother, never underestimate the power of your words. The lessons you teach, the prayers you pray, the values you demonstrate, and the love you give are seeds planted in the lives of your children. Some of those seeds may take years to grow, but God is able to use them to shape the future.
Lemuel’s mother understood that raising a child was not only about preparing him for success; it was about preparing him for purpose. She taught him self-control, wisdom, justice, and compassion. She reminded him that leadership is not about position but about responsibility.
She told him:
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.” — Proverbs 31:8
This is the heart of a godly mother: she does not only teach her children how to rise; she teaches them how to lift others. She does not only teach them how to gain influence; she teaches them how to use influence to serve.
Dear Mother, your home is a place of transformation. Around your table, in your conversations, and through your example, you are helping shape future fathers, mothers, leaders, servants, and builders of society.
Your children may not always recognize your sacrifices today. They may not always understand your corrections, your prayers, or your tears. But the values you plant in their hearts can become a foundation that carries them through life.
Do not compare your calling with others. You may not stand before crowds, but your influence reaches generations. You may not wear a crown, but you may be raising someone who will carry great responsibility for God’s Kingdom and for society.
Like Lemuel’s mother, be a voice of wisdom. Teach your children to honor God, respect people, pursue righteousness, and serve others.
May God strengthen you, honor you, and multiply the fruit of your labor.
Remember:
With honor and gratitude,
A voice of encouragement for every mother
