Your Impact Is Greater Than Your Name
Ecclesiastes 9:15
"Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city. Yet no one remembered that same poor man." — Ecclesiastes 9:15

Leadership is not measured by popularity, titles, wealth, or public applause. True leadership is measured by influence, wisdom, and faithful service. 1. Great Leaders Are Known by Their Wisdom, Not Their Position
The man was poor, yet he possessed something greater than riches—wisdom. His influence came from what he knew and how he applied it, not from his social status.
Leadership begins with wisdom before it begins with authority. A title may give someone a position, but wisdom earns respect and trust.

Like Joseph in Egypt, Nehemiah in Jerusalem, and Esther in Persia, godly leaders respond to crises with wisdom and courage.

The strongest leaders are those who are willing to serve without demanding recognition.

4. Do Not Lead for Applause
The saddest part of this story is:
"Yet no one remembered that same poor man."

If your motivation is human applause, discouragement will eventually overcome you. But if your motivation is pleasing God, your passion will remain strong.

The greatest audience is not the crowd—it is God.
5. God Never Forgets Faithful Leaders
Although people forgot the poor man, God ensured that his story would be recorded forever in Scripture.

People may forget your labor, but Heaven keeps perfect records.

God remembers them all.
Continue leading with integrity, even when no one is watching.

Application
As leaders, we must ask ourselves:
- Am I pursuing God's wisdom every day?

- Do I serve for God's glory or human praise?
- Will my leadership leave people better than I found them?
- If no one applauded my work, would I still remain faithful?
Leadership is stewardship. God entrusts people to our care, and one day every leader will give an account before Him.

The poor wise man teaches us that greatness is not determined by wealth, popularity, or public recognition. It is determined by wisdom, faithfulness, humility, and obedience to God.
The world may overlook faithful leaders, but God never does.
Your name may not always be remembered on earth, but if you remain faithful, it will be remembered in Heaven.
